Artist Tony Davis produces Paintings, Sculpture, Fine Wood Furniture and Gourd Musical Instruments from his home and studio in Bridgetown. West Australian born and educated at Curtin University, Tony Davis essentially a figurative painter working in acrylics and oils, with six city solo exhibitions and many group shows to his credit, he has in recent years extended his repertoire to include sculpture, solid wood furniture and gourd musical instruments. The seductive magnetism of using metal and native timbers, with sustainability as a principle of his work practices, and the utilization of home grown gourds in combination with his newfound skills as a recognized solid wood furniture/craftsman has allowed him to produce some unique works, each one being of individual design.

With the possible exception of some paintings and sculpture, Tony Davis prefers to work on a commission basis, particularly with furniture, where clients can consult and specify their needs within the parameters of a style which results in a unique, one off product, with originality as the cornerstone of each design.
